The Nature of Media is for a wide range of creative professionals, including those who advocate a healthier balance between humanity and technology. The conference starts with dinner in the Hollyhock Lodge on Wednesday, May 20th, 2020 and ends with lunch on Sunday, May 24th.

We’ll have opportunities to venture outdoors, so bring appropriate clothing and footwear.

Tuition Fee (accommodations & meals extra): $495.

Your total cost to attend will also depend on your choice of lodging. Inclusive price varies by accommodations, which range from private waterfront rooms to paired lodging to dorms to tenting. Hollyhock activities and amenities include daily yoga, naturalist tours, ocean-view-hot tubs, 24-hour coffee/tea/fruit/toast bar, and more.

Some scholarships will be available.

When registration is open, we’ll inform you via our mailing list.

Travel
There’s no need for wheels once you get to Hollyhock. However, if you’d like to bring your car, we recommend taking a 2:30 (or earlier) ferry from Campbell River, which will get to you Hollyhock with ample time for checking in, relaxing, and preparing for a great conference. Be aware that there are frequent overloads on the ferries, which can result in long waits and delays for drivers. More travel info can be found here.
